Client's Needs

Now that we have a new home, what do we do with it? Damon & Dawn had asked themselves the same question. They had just purchased their new home and were looking to upgrade the value of their home and add entertainment to their new surroundings. They immediatly contacted Karbon with questions, and we were happy to answer.

Design

Lookout for Karbon! Damon & Dawn were looking to have ambient music in their great room, bedroom, hallway, and patio. They were also looking to have two independent 5.1 surround sound systems; one for the children and one for themselves. Karbon came to work! For the children's entertainment we chose a 50" Panasonic Plasma, 5 black gem Bose cubes, and a Velodyne mini-vee subwoofer. This system creates a great look with a "discrete" feel through the use of small speakers and subwoofer. We also hid the Denon 1806 receiver, Denon Upscaling DVD player, and Monster Power Filter in a cabinet. Not to mention, we finished with simplicity through the incorporation of a 1-button Harmony 890 RF remote control. Have fun Kids! Onto the rest of the house.

The remaining aspects of the home were simple. Tie in all the ambient music into a dual-zone system to allow one person to be watching a movie in surround sound while another listens to music at the same time! No problem guys! We installed 2 in-ceiling speakers in the hallway, 3 in-ceiling into the great room, 2 in-ceiling into the bedroom, and finally 2 all-weather outdoor speakers for the patio. We also added volume controls to the bedroom and outdoor speakers to allow total control. Next, we mounted a 50" matching Panasonic Plasma coupled with 5 white Bose speakers, a velodyne mini-vee subwoofer, Denon 3806 Receiver, and Denon Upscaling DVD player all hidden in a custom made cabinet. Of course we finished all this off by protecting the equipment with a Monster Power Conditioner and Filter. We also incorporated a 1-button Harmony 890 RF remote for this system as well. Damon and Dawn fell in love again....this time with their new home entertainment system. It was our pleasure guys!
